Q&A with Hutchinson’s Diego Ruiz – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by The Alley

Hutchinson athlete Diego Ruiz interviewed with VYPE to talk about his athletic experiences.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

Finish high school and try to get a scholarship to go play soccer at a college.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

When the team went to go play mini golf and during practices also.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

Mrs. Upa because that’s when I first got introduced to English she taught me a lot and I met my friends.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

When I scored my first goal for varsity and that was with the people I grew up my whole life it was a great feeling.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that impacted me was Trae England and David Reyna the best leaders I’ve known and I’m going to miss playing with them they would yell at me so I can get back in the game and would always had my head up never had it down.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part of this team is the group of people I have they are like another family to me and I will never forget about them every one of them taught me one thing always making me laugh no matter who it was.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

I would love to go to Spain with me and I would take my Cousin there with me.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

I would spend it on my whole team take them out to eat and go do activities with them.
