Nickerson Football Player Karson Engellend gave an interview with VYPE before he and his team hit the field.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

Some of my personal goals are to make 1st team all CKL for football and then return back to state track in the spring!

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun that I had was making state track because my track coach passed away in a tragic accident and I had my mind set that I was going to do it for him!

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teacher is Trey Jones and he was my woodshop teacher and I like his class because I am into making projects with wood.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is when we won the last game of the year against Wichita trinity because that was my first high school win!

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

.I would say that Sam Logan has because ever since I was a freshman he has pushed me to be who I am and I am very grateful for that!

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part of being on this team is that we have grown every year since my freshman year and are becoming better young men every day.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

If I could pick any place to go I would go on a cruise to the Bahamas and I would take my grandma Mary with me.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

If I was given 500 dollars I would go spend it on food and shoes!

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

We help out the bright-house and we did a bunch of lawn care and tree removal for them to make the place look nicer. I also helped with the Nickerson high school blood drive.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I was in FBLA for my freshman and sophomore year.
