A senior from Hutchinson High School, Grace Marciano just finished up her senior year of softball. Marciano shared with Vype Magazine a goal for this season, “My goal this season was to always have an uplifting attitude, no matter the situation whether we were up in the game or not.”
One of the things Marciano shared over the season she was most looking forward to was senior night. “I never thought my last home game would come for Hutch High, but I knew I had some pretty incredible girls to play with and we did it for each other.”
Marciano shared a memorable moment with Vype Magazine. “We got third at state my junior year which was such a memorable experience!” Marciano didn’t take credit for this success. She gave so much credit to her coaches as well. “I would not be where I am if It wasn’t for the coaches along the way with me that believed in me.”
During the off season, Marciano spent time in the batting cages working on hitting. She also spent time in the gym, and all this work has been paying off for her on the field. Something Marciano is proud of is her hitting stats, and all her work during the offseason has shown in these stats.
Marciano stay super busy with all her other activities as well. She has been involved in volleyball all four years at Hutch. As a freshman, Marciano also participated in basketball. This fall, Marciano plans to attend Hutchinson Community College and then transfer to a university to become a physical therapist.
