Buhler’s Emmie Stallman – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Allen Samuels

Buhler softball player Emmie Stallman spoke to VYPE in a recent interview sharing “My favorite part of being on this team is the family we have created together. I love coming to practice, seeing everyone, and always having a good laugh. We can be serious and get work done while having a good time. I am excited to see what we can accomplish this year”.

“Softball has taught me to stick through the hard times and better will come. Softball is a fast-paced game where you have to forget your mistakes, make adjustments, and move forward. It has also taught me about communication and leadership, which I use every day” said Stallman.

Off of the softball field Stallman participates in community service projects. Saying “I am currently working on a project where I am putting together bags of food/snacks for students needing them on the weekend at a local elementary school. I have participated in packing and delivering commodities on several occasions in our community. I have helped serve in the local soup kitchen”. She was also “inducted into the National Honors Society”.

Sharing “I am involved in our FFA chapter at the High School and 4-H outside of school. I am involved in these groups because Agriculture is something I am passionate about and very interested in. Both organizations have taught me many life lessons and prepared me for the future. I have played basketball all four years of high school and I have been on the Trap team. I have always loved basketball and being part of any team”.

When discussing what motivates her Stallman explained that it has been her grandparents who have inspired her to “always work hard and have fun”. Expressing “They are both hard workers and always help anyone. I am reminded to have a good time and to try my best. If one thing does not go my way in a game they remind me that it doesn’t define me or my season. I always get a “Good Luck and Love You” text from my grandma and my grandpa always has something funny to say after games to get me in a good mood. They show up to as many games as possible and I can’t thank them enough”.
