Haven athlete Zach Perkins completed an interview with VYPE to tell us about his life.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goals are going through the year, putting one foot after another and possibly being a role model for someone.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun I’ve had last year has come from choir.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teacher would have to be Riley King he was my choir teacher for 4 years and has left one of the biggest imprints on me as a person.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory comes from last year when I got to run with all of my favorite seniors.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that’s left the biggest impression on me is my brother, Isaiah Doherty, because he has pushed me to be the best I can be at cross country.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

The friendliness of everyone.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

I would go to the mountains in Spain and go on a 7 day hike I would take my brother Isaiah.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

I would spend it on a big cookout and camping for my family.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

Not at the moment but I plan on joining rise up reno this year.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I am in art club, KAYS, Stuco, Wildcat Singers, and Rise Up Reno; I just really like to keep myself involved and having fun.

VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?

I am a rep in StuCo, I just want to make a change in our school for the better.
