Kenzie Welch from Buhler has one thing that she wants to improve on this season, as she has heard it over and over.
“Spares, spares, spares,” Welch said. “My coach could never say that enough. I have been working on my 7 and 10 pin the most. I have done just single-pin shooting and a drill we started at practice by shooting for a certain pin and working your way down.”
Welch had nine top ten finishes last season, including a 10th place finish at the 4-1A Tournament. She is hoping that’s just the beginning of a special senior season.
“My goal is to have a higher average each and every year,” Welch said. “I am hoping to place again at state and maybe even more events we go too. For my team I want us to excel and place at state this year that will be amazing for us.”
While it has been casual and not competitive, Welch has been bowling a significant amount with her friends.
“I am so excited to be back at it again,” Welch said. “This is my senior year so I am excited to see all my hard work be put into this! I am so excited to see my progress and just be back out there enjoying what I do.”
