Nickerson athlete Taylor Engelland spoke with VYPE recently.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goal this year is to make it on first-team all-league.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had in the last year has probably been when we had a basketball tournament with the whole school.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher would be Mr.Bruce – because I go in there during seminar and we talking about basketball and how he thinks we should do and he’s just a really good teacher to be around.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is probably when we won our first game.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Carson Linn – because last year he pushed me to be better and helped me not to be as scared on the court and just relax and play my game.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part of being on this team is just being with all my friends and making each other better.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
The place I would go for my summer vacation would be Hawaii and I would take my cousin Karson.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I got $500 I would probably spend it on Dr. Pepper and go get McDonald’s.
