Q&A with Nickerson’s Emily Hall – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Allen Samuels

Nickerson athlete Emily Hall recently spoke to VYPE and told us about who she is.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My main goal this year is to beat my PR.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun I have had this year was giving the middle schoolers ice from the cooler during their race at the first meet of the season.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teachers are Mrs. Nichols and Mrs. Stout. They are my favorite because of their positive mindset and their encouragement to get out side of my comfort zone.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is “freezy pop Fridays!” Every Friday after practice we all get a popsicle.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Ashley Teichmann. She was one of my first friends in middle school and we always have pushed each other to be the best we can be.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about being on this team is the family aspect and how fun it is. We are always joking around and laughing. We have been there for each other for the last 4-6 years and which built a very strong relationship with my teammates that I will never forget.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

If I could go anywhere on a summer vacation I would go to Hawaii with my family.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

If I had to spend $500 in the next 24 hours I would spend it on shoes, clothes, and stuff to do my nails.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I participated in community service last year by walking the elementary students to school on National Walk and Ride a Bike to school day. I will be participating in this again this October.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

One club I am involved in is Future Business Leaders of America. I do FBLA to learn and grow my business skills.
