
VYPE interviewed Hutchinson athlete Jax Heneham to learn more about who he is.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals for the year is to get all state and be defensive player of the year. My goals academically is to get a 4.0 all 3 semesters.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I had in the past year was playing football against Bishop Carroll and winning regionals.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher is Coach Vernon. He is my weightlifting teacher and coach. He motivates me to work hard in the weight room and he gets his players and I appreciate that. He lets me be me.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is getting the interception against Bishop Carroll and Mason Jones getting the fumble and scoring to win the game.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate that has made the biggest impression on me is Mason Jones. He pushes me to become better and work harder. We both have really big goals for our team this season.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
The favorite part of being part of this team is becoming brothers and wanting more for one another.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I would choose to go on a cruise for vacation. And take all my friends with me.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I was given $500 I would buy all new football gear and save the rest.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I participate in several in school community projects such as going into the elementary schools as a mentor and as a football team working of projects for the community. I have also helped with multiple camps.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I am part of FCA and because it is a place we come together in our faith as athletes and students.
VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
I am not part of any academic activities. However I am part of Junior leaders and senior leaders.
